Denise Stewart

Denise M. Stewart (those that knew her Denny), age 62, passed away on July 12, 2020 at 3:33PM surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 31, 1958 and adopted by her late parents, Michael and Dolores Dobrowits. She grew up in Evergreen Park, IL and was a proud “Southsider”. Denise enjoyed life to the fullest! She was a firm believer that every day was a gift from God. Denise loved to craft, sew, garden, dance and cook! You never went hungry if you were a guest in her house. She always enjoyed having good times with family and friends. She had a passion for the outdoors and cherished every sunrise. Denise loved her Bible, her Heavenly Father and her Savior Jesus Christ. Her comfort and strength came from them. On December 27, 1984 she married her soul mate and the love of her life, Thomas K. Stewart. They enjoyed traveling, spur of the moment adventures and spontaneous times of love. They were a true example of the definition of love birds. They overcame any mountain that was put before them. Tom loved Denny’s daughters as his own and was always an active part of their lives. She was a loving Mother (Mama) and her priority was always her daughters, Melissa and Lisa. Whenever her girls had troubled times in life, she was always determined to make sure that they came out on top! Denise was a very PROUD Grandmother (Grandma Denny) to her 8 grandchildren. Jada McNeal (23), her first Grandchild, was Denny’s pride and joy! They had a bond that was indescribable. The late Jaden McNeal (would be 22 years young) was her first Grandson and she missed him every moment for 22 years. Janelle McNeal (Nell, 17), Julian McNeal (Jules “her honeybee”, 15), Juliana McNeal (Lana, 13), Giovanna McNeal (Gigi, 11) all played their major role throughout her life. Denise was also the proud Grandma to her Grandson, Ryan John (17). She could not be more proud and scared at the same time that he enlisted to become a Marine. She was always eager to watch her Granddaughter, Gracie John (14) dance her heart away! Denise (Denny) is survived by her loving Husband, Tom, her daughter’s Melissa (BJ) Zamp, Lisa Minervini (Joe Schwarz) and her Grandchildren Jada, Janelle, Julian, Juliana, Giovanna, Ryan and Gracie, her loving sisters Ellen and Margie along with many family and friends. Denise will be FOREVER MISSED by her husband and daughters. “Where you used to be, there is a hole in the world, which we find ourselves constantly walking around in the daytime and falling in at night. WE MISS YOU LIKE CRAZY!
