Herbert R. Pasaye

Herbert Ralph Pasaye, passed away December 30, 2021 at Edward Hines VA Hospital. Born October 24, 1942 in Chicago Illinois to the late Ezequiel and Lucy (nee Lule) Pasaye. Devoted father of Christopher Pasaye, Robyn (Tony) Amici, and Amy Pasaye; loving grandfather of Ashley Pasaye, C.J. Pasaye, Riley Pasaye, Alexis Amici, Jaclynn Amici and Tony Amici; caring brother of Isabel (Leonard) Krystal, Gloria (Raymond) Krystal, Ezequiel Pasaye Jr., the late Richard Pasaye, Peter (the late Chris) Pasaye, the late Joseph (Lucy) Pasaye and Raymond (Janet) Pasaye; fond uncle, great uncle and great great uncle to many nieces and nephews. Herbert loved his country and served faithfully in both the United States Navy and in the United States Army. He courageously fought in the Vietnam War and remained active in the Army Reserves until 2001. Herbert spent the majority of his life living in Chicago and was a devoted White Sox Fan. He was a also a big fan of the Beatles and a definite history buff. Above all else, Herbert loved his family, he was a beloved son and brother, very loving father, and an even better papa. He will be greatly missed by many. Join us for a time of visitation to honor Herbert Sunday January 9, 2022 from 2pm - 7pm at Cardinal Funeral Home 7715 W. US Rte 14 Crystal Lake IL 60012 (located next to Flowerwood Nursery) Interment will follow January 10, 2022 at 1pm at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood Illinois, friends and family may meet at the cemetery 20 minutes prior to the burial.
