Irene Laura Berger

Irene L. Berger, 60, of Marengo passed away January 1, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Chicago October 13, 1959 to John and Elaine Braeckman. Beloved wife of Dylan Berger; loving mother of Jason (Kathleen) Berger, Eric (Nicole) Berger and Rebecca (Matthew) Tremethick; fond brother of John Braeckman and Alan Braeckman; and most caring grandmother to 4 grandchildren and one on the way. Irene was an active and faithful member to Redeemer Lutheran Church in Woodstock IL for many years. She was also a life long learner and holds many accomplishments in her many years of nursing, including a masters degree in Nursing Informatics, and was a recognized member of American Nursing Informatics Association (ANIA). Above all else, Irene's greatest joy came from time with her family, and spending all the time she could with her grandchildren. Please join us to honor Irene Saturday January 4, 2020 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1320 Dean Street Woodstock IL 60098. Visitation time will be from 9:00am - 11:00am with the funeral service to immediately follow. Cremation rights will be accorded after services.
