Larry A. Williams

September 19, 1938 — August 28, 2018

Larry was born in Logan, West Virginia on September 19, 1938 to Randy and Mildred Williams. Larry is the oldest of three, Teresa and Ronnie. He was a very responsible, loyal son and brother. Larry married Marianne Mc Peak on August 13, 1971. They were married for 47 years on August 13, 2018. Marianne was immediately swept off her feet, he was the love of her life. Larry was very kind to Marianne and often made her feel like the luckiest wife in the world. He always made sure she was taken care of from foot rubs when she was not feeling the greatest, to trips to the store, rides in his Chevelle, bringing her communion, and just small acts of affection of sending her beautiful roses. She was his "Schnooks" and he was her country boy "Ziggy". Larry was a devoted husband and loving father to his step children, Scott, Kelly and Carrie. Raising his family was his number one priority. He was a successful computer sales executive. After marrying Marianne, Larry converted to the Catholic faith and was involved in the church by participating in the holy family rosary weekly, for 11 years and was an usher at St. John the Evangelist church. He was his grandson Zachary Loths Godfather and confirmation sponsor in 2008. As well as Godfather to his nephew Fr. Jude Mc Peak. Larry loved his family dearly. He enjoyed participating in endless conversations about antique cars and sports. His hobbies included working on his 1970 Chevelle SS, woodworking, photography, visiting car shows and working on the upkeep to his beloved home. He loved his little companion Buffy their dog that Marianne and Larry had for many years. Starting with his first grandchild, Adriana, he was a loving and attentive grandfather. This love extended to all of his 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. To them he went by the name Bappa. Larry was a very loving and attentive grandfather to his grandchildren. Larry spent numerous Christmas dressing up as Santa, taking his grandchildren sledding, spending time making projects out of wood with them, buying the latest computer and video games, playing battleship and card games, making homemade ice cream, taking rides in his classic 70 Chevelle SS to get ice cream, the memories go on and on. Larry our "Bappa" always made sure his grandchildren felt loved and cared for deeply by him. We all share countless memories of our sweet Bappa. He will remain always in a special place in each one of our hearts. He is survived by his wife Marianne Williams, brother Randy and sister Terry. Step children: Scotty Loth, Kelly Scalise (Joseph), Carrie Loth. Grandchildren: Adriana Heikkila (Paul), Christian Scalise, Zachary Loth, Matthew Loth, Ashley Wollschlaeger, Gabrielle Bens (Nevin), Brendan Scalise, Rachael Loth, Veronica Scalise, Patrick Scalise, Francesca Scalise.
