Lawrence R. Rasp

Lawrence R. Rasp, 80, of Crystal Lake passed away peacefully March 19, 2021 in Huntley. Born in Chicago June 24, 1940 to the late Lawrence and Albina (Kavcic) Rasp. Beloved husband of the late Sandra (Sulima) Rasp; loving father of three sons Jeffrey (Sandra), Michael and the late Kevin. Caring grandfather of Rachel, Aaron, Adam and Lillian; fond brother of Loretta (Jack) Norton and brother-in-law of Corrine (Albert) Ferrari. Loving uncle of Jason, Matthew and Christopher Ferrari. Cousin of the Vastalos, Kavcic, Rasp and Kegl Families. Larry was proud to have served his country in the United States Navy for six years, and was deployed during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a dedicated and hard worker, his outgoing and friendly personality helped him give 29 years of service to Wal-Mart. Larry also worked as an Election Judge in the Crystal Lake Community for many years. He loved the outdoors and boating, and really loved cars. Larry loved people, and made many friends in the Crystal Lake area over the years and he will be greatly missed by many. Cremation rights have been accorded. A graveside service for Lawrence with full military honors will take place Friday May 14, 2021 at Crystal Lake Memorial Park at 11:00AM.
