Marianne B. Spencer

Marianne Spencer, 96, of Crystal Lake passed away peacefully on March 2, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Gleina Germany September 21, 1927 to the late Fritz Benicke and the late Friederike Wagemann. Beloved wife of Warren Spencer; loving mother of Karin (Les) Gocza, Frank Lietsch, Cindy (Les) Capri and Nancy (Dave) Davis; caring grandmother of Mandy (Lisa) Hood, Jamie (Susan) Hood, Greg (Nikki) Lietsch, Frankie (Pam) Lietsch, Robert Lietsch, Sean Lietsch, Pauly (Ali) Lietsch, along with Jennifer, Tiffany and Jaci; proud great grandmother of eight cherished great grandchildren and fond sister of three loving sisters.

Marianne enjoyed spending her time gardening with her granddaughter, sewing and dancing and especially loved baking and preparing to host family holidays. She was also an active and devoted church member. Above all else Marianne cherished time spent with her family and always offering her unconditional love and support. She was a friend to all the lives she touched and will be greatly missed by many.

Join us in honoring Marianne for a time of visitation Thursday March 7, 2024 from 4pm - 8pm at Cardinal Funeral Home 7715 US Highway 14 Crystal Lake IL 60012.  Funeral will be held at St. Paul's United Church of Christ Friday March 8, 2024 at 11:00 am 485 W Woodstock St Crystal Lake IL 60014.  Family and friends may meet at church at 10:45am. Interment will follow at Windridge Memorial Park in Cary IL.
