Melanie Lynn Tucker

Melanie Lynn Tucker, of Lake In The Hills passed away January 1, 2025.  Born April 24, 1971 in Elgin Illinois.

Melanie was the kind of person who loved deeply and unconditionally.  Her warmth made everyone feel like family, but it was her devotion to her daughter and best friend, Autumn that truly defined her.  There was nothing she wouldn't do to keep her safe and happy.  Known for her free spirit and big heart, she always knew how to make people smile and laugh.  She was smart, kind, funny, quirky and sometimes just a plain old goofball.  Melanie was also an animal lover, especially of her two cats Sultan and Sage.  She also loved music, blingy things, tattoos and jewelry.  Melanie loved gathering together with our family and "cutting loose".  She was definitely a one of a kind type of person and had a heart of gold.  Her life was a testament to living without judgement, always ready to support family and friends no matter the circumstances, making everyone feel seen, valued and loved in an instant.  Melanie was and always will be a reminder of how deeply one person can touch the lives of others.  She will be missed tremendously by all and will forever be in our hearts.

Beloved daughter of Gary Tucker and  Colleen (Frank) Riess; loving mother of Autumn; caring sister of Jen Guzman, Ashley Riess, and Jody Tucker; fond aunt of Grace and Ava Guzman; grand daughter of Phyllis and Richard Muntjanoff.  Melanie also leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins.
