Michael Joseph Ahrstrom Sr.

Michael Joseph Ahrstrom Sr., 43, passed away peacefully July 7, 2023.  Born in Chicago IL August 9, 1979, to Richard A. Ahrstrom Sr. and Clara Neuzil (Thomas).  He was a devoted father, brother, uncle and grandpa.

He was known for his love of painting, his passion for cooking and letting everyone know, he was the best cook!  Mike was also known for his sense of humor and being the life of the party.  He loved to joke around and make everyone laugh.  He will be remembered for his love of music and always dancing with mom.

Mike is survived by his mother Clara Neuzil, stepdad David Jayne, brother Richard A. Ahrstrom Jr.; two sisters Shannon Ahrstrom (Cusick) and Sheri Meza (Ahrstrom); his three loving children Michael Joseph Ahrstrom Jr., Gunnar Ahrstrom, and Hazel Ahrstrom; one grandson Elias Ahrstrom; God parents Mary and Ed Romei; his favorite cousin Linnette Aristud and tons of lifetime friends and lots of cousins and aunts and uncles.

He is preceded in death by his father, Richard A. Arhstrom Sr.

A visitation to honor Michaels life will be held July 22, 2023  from 12:00 - 5:00pm  at Cardinal Funeral Home 7715 US 14 Crystal Lake Il 60012 (Next to Flowerwood Nursery) A Celebration of Life service will immediately follow the visitation from 5:30pm - 9:00pm at the Woodstock Moose Lodge 406 Clay Street Woodstock IL.
