Patricia Cychner

Patricia (Pat) Cychner, nee Lesniak, 79, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022 at home surrounded by family. She was born on December 11, 1942 in Chicago to Stanley and Stella (Siedlarz) Lesniak. Pat married her high school sweetheart, James Cychner, at St. Pricilla Catholic Church in 1964. The following year, their son, Jeffrey Cychner, was born. Pat worked as a bill collector for many years. In 1973, the family moved to Wonder Lake, IL. She resided there until her death. Pat loved tending flowers and gardening, trips to the casino and horse track, listening to Elvis, bowling, cooking and traveling. First and most important was family. She doted on her grandsons, babysitting and watching youth sports until they grew older. Pat hosted many parties over the years for family and friends. Survivors include her husband, James Cychner, her son, Jeffrey (Julie) Cychner, three grandsons, Joseph Cychner, Thomas Cychner and Andrew (Bridget) Cychner, one great granddaughter, Bentlie Cychner, sister-in-law Carol Pilgrim and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Violet Gebis, Sylvia Ott and Dolores Gilarski. Visitation will be 9AM to 11AM on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Cardinal Funeral Home, 7715 W. Route 14, Crystal Lake, IL 60012. Funeral services will be held immediately after at the same location. Interment will be at Christ the King cemetery in Wonder Lake, IL.
