Patti Jo Smith

September 19, 1960 — June 13, 2024

Patti was born September 19th 1960 to Frank and Mona Basham (Lazier) in Joliet, Il at Silver Cross Hospital. She was the only girl of five children. She spent her formative years growing up in Warrenville, Il and eventually moved to Woodstock, IL where she’s lived for many years. She attended Woodstock High School. She worked many years at the Woodstock Memorial Hospital as a housekeeper. She was meticulous in keeping things tidy.


Patti in her younger years was known as outgoing and surrounded herself with friends and family. She enjoyed attending craft fairs where she collected yard decor, hand painted trinkets and snowmen. Holiday decorating was one of her traditions and she decorated for each major holiday.

Patti was a caring and loving person who spent her final days spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, baking and shopping with them. She will be deeply missed and not forgotten by loved ones.


She is survived by her long time partner of 28yrs David Knutson Sr. Her daughters Missy Flowers and April Smith. Her grandchildren Gabriel, Abraham, Amirah, and Myles. Her brothers Frankie (Cris), Jesse (Nora) and James (Nicole) as well as her niece and nephews.



She is proceeded in death by her parents, her grandparents and her brother Leslie.



Celebration of life will be at Woodstock Moose Lodge located at 406 Clay St, Woodstock, IL 60098 on 6/30/24 from 2-4pm.
