Peter Johnson

Peter R. Johnson, 79, died on May 3, 2017 surrounded by his wife and children. Born to the late Aubrey and Elsie (Mercier) in Daggett, Michigan on April 26, 1938, Pete was the beloved husband of Pat (Skouras) for 55 years; brother to Aubrey (Jerome), and the late Jerry; brother in law to Teri Spicak (Rich); loving father of Mike, Tami (Mark) Baranowski, and Natalie; proud Papa of Samantha Raucci, Brandon and Zachary Baranowski, and Nick and Tom Johnson; uncle to Jerry Johnson, Tiffany Rasinski, Stacy (Rich) Curtis, and Nicole (Will) Schmidt; and the most beloved companion to his full-blooded German Shepherd, Kelly. Pete served in the U.S. Armed Forces from July 31st, 1956 to May 13th, 1959 in the 101st Airborne out of Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He was an avid golfer, gardener, and loved to travel. His favorite places to vacation with his family were St. Pete's beach in Florida, and the Walt Disney World resort. He worked for Star Die Molding in Elk Grove Village for over 25 years. He will be missed by his family, friends, and colleagues, but certainly not by the many restaurant servers he terrorized over the years. Services for Pete will be held on Saturday, May 20th, 2017 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Barrington, IL. Visitation will begin at 10:30am and mass will follow at 11am.
