Theodore Mitiu

Theodore Mitiu, age 77 of Village of Lakewood, passed away November 23 , 2023. Formerly from Chicago, his parents were Edward Theodore Mitiu and Adeline Dorothy (Terendj). Deep devotion to family, he is survived by his wife Linda Wagner and two siblings MaryAnn Capek and Edward John Mitiu. Also surviving are his two sons Elliot and Wesley Mitiu and stepdaughter Kira (Erik) Netzke, two grandchildren Colt and Ayla Netzke, and sister-in-laws Cindy (Dave) Engstrom and Susan Wagner, and many more aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many enduring friends and neighbors. During the Vietnam War, he served in the American Air Force. After his years of service, he worked as salesman and manager with several logistic companies. His favorite hobbies included travel, shopping at antique and resale shops, fishing and boating, and making fishing lures.

Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on Saturday January 13, 2023 at Cardinal Funeral Home 7715 US 14 Crystal Lake IL 60012 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm, a prayer service will take place at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, send donations to Dementia Society of America (DementiaSociety.org).
