Vito Pajaujis passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at the White Oaks Memory Care facility in Huntley, Illinois. Vito was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on January 3, 1937 to Alphonso and Vladislava Pajaujis. He immigrated to America in 1964 with the hope of starting a new life. He settled in the Chicago area and married Aldona on March 13, 1970. Vito was a linotypist by trade but proved many times over that he would take on any job in order to support his family. There wasn’t a lawnmower or washing machine that he wouldn’t try to fix or shelf that he couldn’t build. He was a nature-whisperer, having formed kinships with squirrels, deer, birds and more. He was a hard worker with a strong work-ethic and created ingenious innovations to help accomplish the many tasks in life, even if they were held together by duct tape. Along with his wife, Vito poured his heart into securing a good future for his daughters and their sacrifices paid off. Vito is survived by his daughters, Linda Pajaujis (Elgin, IL); Tina (Jeff) Henrikson / Katelin & Kelly (Gilberts, IL) and stepchildren, Joe (Monica) Beinarauskas / Joe & Anthony (Worth, IL); Ronnie Sheahan / Tayler (Orland Hills, IL); and Stan (Karen) Beinarauskas / Erica & Kyle (Chicago Ridge, IL). He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Aldona in 2014 and several other cherished family members. There are also many members of his Argentinean family, both living and deceased. It was Vito’s wish that no funeral services or memorial be held. In lieu of flowers, and based on Vito’s love of nature, donations can be made to a nature preserve or wildlife sanctuary such as Oaken Acres in Sycamore, IL http://www.oakenacres.org/
